Recuva keeps grinding my floppy drive

Recuva 1.52 and 1.53 both try to read my (empty) 3.5" floppy drive about once every minute during a scan of any hard drive.

To deep-scan a 4G hard drive takes 2 days, and I fear this continual grinding of my 3.5" drive will destroy my drive and keep me awake.

just to get you over this temporary, one-off hurdle, while you use Recuva, why not physically disconnect it internally, or disable it through the BOIS?

For me it only does that once per-scan, yet even that is still annoying and multiple programs access it including every anti-virus I've ever used.

Like mta stated you can disable the floppy drive in the BIOS, and in this day and age they aren't very useful.

Yes, thanks. I am still reporting it as a bug, though.
