Hi, I just bought Recuva Pro and tried to recover an external HDD. Every time, when Recuva starts to analize the HDD, it crashes. If I analyze my internal SSD with Recura, there is no problem.
Can anyone help me please?
Thanks

Do you know if the computer you're using Recuva on is using a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows? (It should say near the top of the Recuva window.) If it's a 32-bit version, we'd recommend using the software on a computer with a 64-bit version of Windows if at all possible, as the 32-bit version is much more limited in how much memory it can access and can, indeed, crash when scanning large drives.
You might also try connecting the drive to the computer with another USB cable to try to ensure that's not causing an issue. (I recently had to dispose of a USB cable because it was making a poor connection, so that's certainly a possibility.)
