Recuva crashes on XP

Hi:

Three times I have tried a deep scan with Recuva v1.27.419 on my C: drive and each time get a Blue Screen of Death part way through the scan. WhoCrashed produces the following analysis of the dump file:

The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Likely the culprit is another driver on your system which cannot be identified.

I am running Win XP, SP3 on a Dell Pentium 4, 3Ghz, 1GB RAM

Any ideas?
