Recurse doesn't search in system folders

I executed CCleaner and Wise Disk Cleaner and I can say that CCleaner won't find any user-defined file (from winapp2.ini) if it is in program files folder or in windows folder. [Running CCleaner 2.26.1050 in Win XP SP3 as admin]

The problem is not the name nor the path structure; I created a path in a removable media like f:\program files\flight simulator\ and I placed there some user-defined files, and they all were detected. Same files are not detected if they are in c:\program files\flight simulator\.

Also there are many files undetected in c:\documents and settings\

I placed the winapp2.ini source at http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showto...st&p=155522

Try running it and compare with the results from Wise Disk Cleaner, and you will see all the undetected files. Beginning by thumbs.db, *.log, *.tmp, *.err. Many of them are old files from applications that are not running or were uninstalled, so also locked files is not the problem.

I hope somebody can give a hint. I like very much CCleaner, but for cleaning junk files, sorry to say Wise Disk Cleaner is better - until now. This could change, couldn't it?

.

Thanks!
