Recent update. Private mode fails

Ive been using Ccleaner browser for several years and have been happy with it. There was an update a while ago and since then I can’t open a private mode window. If I just try to open a PM window, nothing happens but then when I open the browser again, I get a shutdown error message. If I already have my browser open and try to open a PM window, Ccleaner browser shuts down all my open browser windows. Upon reopening, I get a shutdown error message.

I’ve tried using the repair function in W10 several times with no change. I’ve also uninstalled and reinstalled Ccleaner browser with no change.

This has been going on for a few months now and I was hoping new updates might correct the issue but that hasn’t happened.

If there’s something like a “crash report” that would help, I can post that but I’ll need instructions on how to find it.

Please try to reset the browser (be aware that all settings will be lost when you do this: https://support.ccleaner.com/s/article/how-do-i-reset-ccleaner-browser-settings-to-default
Then let me know if this resolves the issue for you?

Thanks Laurence. I did the reset but it didn’t correct the issue.
