Ram Display

Hi all, 1st Post,

I use C.Cleaner all the time on all of my Laptops & my Desktop.

It works great on everything, except my Xp Pro Desktop with 4gb of Ram

(The reason I have 4gb of Ram is because I Dual Boot with Windows 7 Ultimate).

The Cpu usage displays fine but the Ram is @ zero all the time & never moves!!!

Any ideas, or can this be a suggested 'bug fix' ???

Many thanks.

What are you looking at ?

Task Manager or Process Explorer or what ?

Is this running under XP ?

Is it the same under Win 7

He's referring to the sysinfo info panel at the top of the Window.

If it's showing 0GB RAM then I guess it's some kind of bug.

I wouldn't worry about it too much it never shows my memory correctly either.

Is this because XP won't recognize 4gb of RAM.

I don't know how CCleaner picks up the amount of installed RAM, but it may use Windows to do that.

4GB RAM in XP:

Just a thought.

I think not

The Cpu usage displays fine but the Ram is @ zero all the time & never moves!!!

CCleaner does not, so far as I know, display Cpu usage,

and the installed RAM would only move if it was loose in the socket.

Hence my best guess is the processes Tab of Task Manager.

I agree the topic title does invite us on a wild goose chase.
