what is there any other difference between the standard version and the slim version other then the slim version not having that annoying yahoo toolbar?
i was thinking about downloading the slim version since i never use the yahoo toolbar but i wanted to make sure there weren't any less features or something since the installer file is considerably smaller.
also what is the difference between the two portable versions? the standard version of CCleaner seems to be fairly portable...

Nope that's the only difference

portable leaves no install traces, it's a zip file so you don't install it at all. It comes with the portable.dat and is already (and forced to) set to save in ini file.
you can place it on your flashdrive/ipod/external harddrive/ and use it on any computer you want
alright so let's see if i understand this: the Portable - U3 build is designed for u3 compatible usb sticks which is a dying proprietary format (requiring to be supported by hardware)
while the other Portable build is designed to work on standard usb stick and the only difference between it and the standard build is that it has no installer, forcing it to save all of the settings to an ini file. i would also imagine that it you also wouldn't be able to set up the context menu "delete with CCleaner" either. so would i be right in saying that all in all it is pretty much just a collection of all of post installed standard build CCleaner's files in a Zip file?
