Program Updater keeps presenting same app, even after updating it ( Git 64 bit).
How can I get Ccleaner to no more mention this app?
Ccleaner version: V6.39.11548
Windows 11 Pro,latest build

Many thanks in advance

Unfortunately you can’t, because (unlike the Driver Updater) there is no 'ignore" or ‘skip this version’ in the Software Updater, and there never will be now as v6.# is no longer supported/developed.

The best that you can do is untick it each time so that it doesn’t try to update.
(Or skip all software updating by CCleaner and treat whatever it finds as a cue to do the update manually).

I know it’s a pain however you might try a complete uninstall using RevoUninstaller Free, “as it will clean up all the leftovers” and confirm the program is gone in PowerShell using, “Get-Command git” Then try a fresh reinstall. I actually have a string open for the update program mistaking FileZillaPro for FileZilla Free and wanting to update a fully updated program as well. I am unchecking the box each time as the previous gentlemen suggested.

Hi @Peter1968,
Please follow these steps to help us investigate the issue:

  1. Download and install the CCleaner Support Tool using the link below: https://download.ccleaner.com/CCleanerSupportTool.exe
  2. Replicate the issue on your end.
  3. Run the tool to generate the logs.
  4. At the end of the process, you’ll receive a 5-digit File ID.

Please share that File ID with me so I can review the logs and investigate further.

Hello,

Thank you for the reply.
I will try this asap.
