My CCleaner has been updated to 7.3 a while ago. However, it now pops up, almost daily, claiming that I now have the latest version. I can’t close it with a single click - it pops up again, which is very frustrating.
The company behind CCleaner is almost impossible to get in touch with - they hide themselves well and maybe there is a good reason for that ![]()
I have just been informed in an email that CCleaner will be renewed in February even though the program does not expire until a good month later in March. That is bad enough in itself, but the renewal price is 409,- Danish kroner, where last year I paid “only” 279,- kroner - so a very large increase.
The worst thing, however, is that as a loyal user and long-time customer, I have to pay more than new users of CCleaner.
The website states that the CCleaner I have installed only costs 319,- kroner and not 409,-, which is much less than the good old loyal and stable customers are charged.
It is possible that CCleaner calls it an offer for new customers, but then we just create a new email and thus become a new customer - if we want to continue on such terms at all.
After the latest update, CCleaner has started to open itself twice and there is nowhere to prevent it.
Only deep inside Windows do you get an option from Microsoft.
Incidentally, the program has taken forever to complete a modest cleanup and I have the latest and fastest equipment, so it is not the computer’s fault.
During a cleanup, CCleaner only finds one program that should not start up automatically, which it therefore suggests should be removed - that is OneDrive - what is it thinking about?
Excuse my bad English - it is not my language.
