Having satisfied with the free version tried to upgrade and observed the following problems:
No contact email or web based like feedback for support for the following FREE TRIAL pricing issue and have to use this option to see if they can respond?!
CCleaner Pro cost USD 1.19 per month; so US$14.28 per year and
When I choose the free trial option it shows as Singapore $0.00 for 60 days and will be charged S$60.77 per year after 60 days; while the US$14.28 = S$21.72 as of today (26 Jan 2025)
ALSO: Why no option to choose the currency as USD itself; Your exchange rate being pretty high, I would prefer the USD; The merchant’s (Paypal or Credit card banks) exchange rate is far better.
Remember that it is not just currency exchange rates that are in play - different countries have different purchase taxes which also need to be considered.
When you chose a currenct the software will assume you are in that country and will apply that countries taxation.
(Different countries may also have different consumer laws regarding trial purchases and how much they can charge for a trial).
I have a similar concern.
1st, there is no direct support link to CCleaner’s support, instead you’re just directed to FAQ pages or here to the community forum.
I’d like to ask my question of the people who actually make decisions rather than offer advice.
Perhaps someone here can point me in the right direction.
I just updated my free version to the latest version and I’m offered the option to upgrade to the Professional version (USD $14.28/year) or the Professional Plus version (USD $23.88/year) and I close out that window intending to keep using the free version. When I close that window another pops up offering the 60/day free trial and I think, ‘why not, let’s give it a try, perhaps I’ll like the pro options and decide to keep it’ BUT, when I click on the free trial I’m required to pay for the subscription ahead of time (which I can cancel within 30 days after the free trial period ends). The price here however is USD $39.99/year for the Professional version, not the Professional Plus version. Now, the price discrepancy is bad enough but shouldn’t it be LESS than the annual subscription of USD $14.28, not more than double? It should be about USD $1.19/month but only a charge for 10 months as the first 60 days are free. So, the cost should be about USD $11.90, not USD $39.99. I’d post screenshots but these two issues are keeping me from upgrading to the Profesional version.
1). No direct link to CCleaner Support where an actual CCleaner Sales or Tech Support person is available to provide official answers.
2). Pricing discrepancies in the upgrade process.
Can someone help? Perhaps I’m missing something obvious.
