when I use the duplicate finder to search, it says Something went wrong

This error may occur when one or more of the files CCleaner is trying to delete are locked, protected, or currently in use by another application or by Windows itself. When Duplicate Finder encounters a file it can’t remove, it may then show the error for all remaining files in the batch — even if some were already deleted successfully.
Common reasons a file may be locked include:

The file is open in another program (e.g. a document in Word, or an image in a photo editor)

The file is a system file or is being used by a Windows service

The file is protected by security software or permissions

The file is on a network drive or external storage with restricted access
