Does in private browsing lessen the chances of recovery of documents, pictures, and videos?
In Private, if my understanding is correct, keeps your internet cache in RAM.
And yes, this does make it harder to recover. Maybe not impossible, but definitely harder.
If your talking about cleaning personal pics off a drive, you will have to wipe the drive.

I believe that private browsing history is retained in DNS Cache until cleared.
