Hi ! Cleaner 7 has just been installed on my computer and I can’t stop it from opening when the PC starts up. I can’t find the function in the application. Ccleaner 7 doesn’t appear in the task manager. It’s disabled in the task scheduler library. And yet it opens every time I start up! How can I stop it ? Thank you.
Look at the ‘BackGround apps’ in Task Manager for CCleaner Services.
From what I can gather though v7 is designed to be always running as a background task.
I haven’t had time to take a good look at it yet, but I’d suggest looking to see if there is a shortcut to it in the Windows ‘Startup’ folder.
Thanks for your reply. CCleaner doesn’t appear in “Background apps” in Task Manager for CCleaner services. It’s annoying if it’s forced to run in the background… I wish I knew that before it installed the update.
Is there a reason that you are posting using 3-dot tags?
Maybe it’s copy/pasted from a different text editor?
It makes your posts difficult to read unless/until I edit your post to remove them.
not understood
Don’t worry about it, it was just a formatting oddity.
Since CC Cleaner is not in Task Manager, how can I prevent it from automatically downloading and installing every time I open an earlier version?
