i (for the first time since installing ccleaner) decided to run the Wipe Free Space option, after about 10 minutes I cancelled it..
Then, later I ran another Wipe Free Space (along with Network Passwords all in one scan), I let this do it's work, whilst this was happening, I checked the capacity of the C: Drive (and, as i had been told, the capacity would be very full). When ccleaner had finished it's work, the capacity was lower than it had been whilst it was doing it's work (AS EXPECTED.)...
But i just thought, wow a lot of space has been used up... i got my computer completely wiped (it had a lot of deep viruses) like 5 days ago, surely i havent used up so much space!! (CURRENTLY LOCAL DISK C: SAYS 165GB FREE OF 232GB).... seems a bit unusal does it not that i've already used 66.9GB..
i had looked up what Wipe Free Space does, doesn't ccleaner create a really big folder which takes up all your disk space and then it deletes this folder?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ALL I CAN THINK IS THAT CANCELLING THAT VERY FIRST PROCESS OF WIPING FREE SPACE AFTER LIKE 10 MINUTES meant that a rather big folder was created but not deleted?^^^^^^^^
a year ago i dropped my laptop and the original hard drive had to be replaced (I know that it was a 500gb hard drive) I'm pretty sure this laptop now has a 500GB Hard Drive, but Local Disk C: Properties says Capacity 232GB -ANY SUGGESTIONS ON THAT GUYS? remember : I had got this computer wiped and they reinstalled everything- they might have downloaded Vista Service Pack 1 initially, but then i pointed out that Windows Update was saying there was an available update of Vista Service Pack 2, so the tech support who wiped my laptop installed it (i guess they clicked "update" on windows update.) of course, i do NOT know if they deleted the Vista Service Pack 1.
IM NOT VERY COMPUTER SMART so i don't know what the logical order of these updates are, all i know is they were all updated on the restart last night.
Last night my computer automatically updated itself on a Restart; it installed the following updates:

i just want to know why my hard drive isnt 500gb which i believe it was, but the last time i checked was before the computer was wiped and stuff was reinstalled
(is there other place i can check, other than Local Disk C:'s properties, the total capacity of my hard drive... because i was so sure this hard drive is meant to be 500gb total capacity)...
something like this was happening before and after the wipe, my computer said it had 1gb of ram... but in actually it was MEANT to be 3gb ram.... and my ram usage was always around 70-87%, that was sorted out though on the same day that i got the tech people to also install windows vista service pack 2- could that same idea be happening again???
and if cancelling the very first wipe free space process 10 minutes in has left a big undeleted folder on my computer (and how could i remove that problem??)... it just seems like 66.9gb of space used is a lot... or maybe all the stuff that needed to be reinstalled after the wipe (i.e. drivers, windows programmes etc. (AND if windows vista service pack 1 is still there (i.e. not deleted)???) is the reason for 66.9gb being used...
please help me
