Hello,
I am using CCleaner Portable, the free edition, on my home computer.
It is setup to run automatically at startup.
Today I had a surprise at login, with a message that CCleaner has been upgraded to Professional and to enter a CD-Key.
I most certainly did not upgrade it. In fact I did not open it for several days.
I only let it run at computer startup and that is that.
It is the first time this is happening.
Normal behavior or bug?
I am asking because up until one month ago I was using the Free edition, but installed, not portable.
So, should portable auto upgrade itself after a certain amount of time?
Thank you.

No it should not have upgraded itself automatically, maybe you accidentally hit something and asked it to upgrade (mine's already pro or I'd test to see if that is possible). I'd delete it and redownload the zip
I had a backup archive.
I am 100% sure I did not click the upgrade because the portable version does not have the upgrade tab on the left side as the installed version does.
One has to go to Options/About click on Start Free trial, but even then, CCleaner will be automatically activated as Pro trial mode.
Will pay more attention next time and make a screenshot of the message if it happens again.
Thank you.

I use CC portable free as well, for ages, and it hasn't auto upgraded to Pro - obviously nor should it.
So just wondering, any other users on that PC that may have clicked something they shouldn't?
