Permanently deleting files from computer

Hi all,

I was wondering if CCleaner or Recuva has an option to permanently remove any reference to a deleted file. I had some deleted files I overwrote with Recuva, and yet I can still see the actual names of those files if I scan for deleted files. How can I delete clear or replace the names of those files using Piriform products.

Any help is appreciated.

Recuva will not overwrite securely deleted file names. CC has the facility to overwrite deleted file names in the Wipe Free Space option - tick the Wipe MFT Free Space box. I have never tried this so I don't know how effective it is.
