Performance Optimizer reports mandatory programs as problems

Never used before

After today's update, it gave me a notice 14 programs were slowing down my PC, among these 14 programs were

- My audio driver

- 2 Intel programs possibly mandatory

- Microsoft OneDrive

- 2 Dell programs that cannot be turned off or removed (why I am never getting a Dell again)

- a program for the printer

- 3 programs for the graphics card

- a driver used for printing PDFs

At least some of these are mandatory, really my audio driver? Graphics card programs? Programs the Intel chip may need

There seems to be a need for better filtering of what programs could be turned off

You seem to have misunderstood how CCleaner's Performance Optimizer works.

Performance Optimizer doesn't stop the running processes altogether.

It <em>"temporarily puts them into 'Sleep' mode to free up speed and performance"</em> and they will automatically wake up again if/when they are needed.

You can pick or choose if you want to put certain ones to sleep and keep others running.

Plus of course nobody is saying that you have to use the Performance Optimizer at all, it's just a tool and whether you use it or not is your choice.

The pop-up notice is just for information and if you don't like what that pop-up says then simply ignore it.
