username and password is deleted. even done the Intelligent Cookie Scan as well. I'm using IE 9
my CCleaner version is 2 yrs old. Any help is very much appreciated. tropicalgal

What Window version are you using, & is it 32 or 64 Bit?

You really need to get the latest version of CCleaner.
It will work better for you,
and most people that have the ability to help with your problem will have negligible current experience of a two year old version.
Thank you for your information. As you stated it was a 2 year old version, much has changed since then. I asked for your OS, because perhaps you were clinging to it due compatibility problems with newer versions with an older OS such as W2K.
Hence, seeing your 64 Bit 7, why not download the slim version of the latest CCleaner?
I think it may help solve your problems. If not, post here if your still having problems.

You can find out what version of CCleaner you are running by opening CCLeaner and the version will appear in the upper left of the program.

I would recommend un-installing CCleaner first. Then restart the computer. The currnt slim version of CCleaner can be retried from:

I assume that the title slim gave you the wrong impression that there is a fatter, fuller version of CCleaner that cleans better.
The reason the title exists, is Piriform releases a version with & also without the Google Chrome web browser.
The slim version does not refer to a CCleaner that cleans less, it simply refers to the version that does not come bundled with the Chrome installer.
I would not say the newer version cleans less than the older.
In fact, the reason for the newer versions is fix bugs, introduce new features, & keep up with newer browsers/trash locations.
I would say it cleans even better.
YOu might have to add the verizon cookie to the list to be excluded. In the current version of CCleaner please:
1) Open CCleaner
2) Click Options
3) Click Cookies
4) In the left pane - search for "Verizon". For each match - highlight and then click the right arrow between the two windows.
5) Close CCleaner then reopen and click Analyse.
6) post what happens..

Do you mean that it remembers you until you run CCleaner? Or it does not remember you at all?
Add forum.piriform.com to keep list on Options/Cookies to keep CCleaner from erasing your Piriform login cookie each time. Add your webmail cookie, too.

Thank you! Did you add forum.piriform.com to CCleaner cookie keep list? I also had to keep logging in after a clean, until I added the cookie to the keep list.
please stop using unnecessary font size and attribute changes it makes it difficult to follow the stream of the thread and in generally frowned upon
