Partition Software....

Anyone reccomend a user friendly (possibly free) partitioning software?

there is a pinned thread on disk partitions in the hardware forum.

Two applications which were offered free some time ago.

Paragon Partition Manager 8.5:

Paragon Hard Disk Manager 8:

I used Hard Disk Manager 8 to partition my drive earlier this year. Although the offers finished some time ago, both download links are still active, and obtaining the activation codes for either is still probably an automated process.

Hope this helps.

Posted a link yesterday to this, maybe in the wrong thread?

Apparently if you have a maxtor or seagate drive, you can get these for free. I won't have time to try them for a while yet, so cannot report. Maybe other members will ring in about their effectiveness.

good luck. :)

If you dont use dynamic discs I'd get the livecd of ubuntu and run gparted

I like gparted as well but there's no reason to download the whole 600 whatever mb ubuntu iso just to use it. They have a much smaller live gparted iso that is only 50mb here:
