I strongly recommend making a list of Panda file names and folder names before un-installing.
Then use RevoUninstaller to launch Panda's uninstaller and any other unistaller tool that might be relevant in Dennis's post
http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=23330 (perhaps there should be a permanent link in this forum to that post)
Then RevoUninstaller can root around for any other residuals.
Then perhaps with the tool "Everything" you could see if anything similar to any names on your list could also be residuals deserving to be zapped.
I suffered greatly from the I.T. stipulated Panda which would burst into action many times a day and each time I could have 5 minutes worth of previous typing destroyed.
My supervisor and I had repeated battles with I.T. when they came around and found start-up scripts that killed the Panda processes ! ! !
At home only once did I worry about malware - a software upgrade had cancelled the stealth mode on my Firewall Ports so that I could be pinged.
It was like that for a day.
I knew of specialised malware that could use ICMP to not only Ping, but to deliver malware.
I chose to restore the system from the image made just before the software update,
but to first download some scanners to look for malware including rootkits
(I was concerned about how a rootkit might dig itself into the computer so that it could survive the restoration of an image of C:\ )
I Downloaded Sophos and that said I was clean.
I downloaded Panda because it was the only "second opinion" I could find for free,
and that wanted to get rid of my choice of executable for a better shut-down - not impressed.
After the scans I uninstalled both Sophos and Panda to see how clean they exited.
Sophos left no more than I expected.
Panda left me tons of its junk, several 100 MB, including its own C:\Panda\ folder.
I cannot remember if they were download files or installers or a mixture.
It did me no harm because a few minutes later I restored an image that had never seen Panda,
but you are unlikely to be in that fortunate position and you could be falling over bits of Panda every day till you re-install Windows.
Pandas look cuddly but they leave more garbage around the neighbourhood than brown bears scavenging through waste bins ! !
