If you believe Kamo to be the problem then that seems an obvious step to try.

I removed Kamo from startup. Rebooted an outbox emptied. Seems to be an incompatibility issue with outlook and kamo that needs some attention.

It may just have been a glitch and if you now reinstall Kamo it may not happen again.
Edit, reading Hazelnuts link it may indeed be a bug in the 'Private connection' module of Kamo.
