Other Utilities

Noting Davey's post regarding the ERUNT & NTREGOPT* utilities I would like to add to the collective pool of available utilities by mentioning PROCESS EXPLORER, now available as a free download at microsoft's page

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysintern...ssExplorer.mspx

It is an independently created utility by Mark Russinovich and Published on November 5, 2007.

Here is a Cut & Paste of the description:

"...Ever wondered which program has a particular file or directory open? Now you can find out. Process Explorer shows you information about which handles and DLLs processes have opened or loaded..."

I have had a look and it has some mighty fine features, way over my head (not saying much)

*ERUNT & NTREGOPT are at:http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/
