After numerous discussions on the addition of the toolbar, i thought i would start a few polls. The first one simply asks "Which versions of Ccleaner do you use?" the second "What is your opinion on the addition of a toolbar in Ccleaner?". Please take time to vote and hopefully together we can muster enough public opinion to completely remove the toolbar from All versions of Ccleaner.
It is not only a bad thing for the users of Ccleaner but is also worrying for the future direction of what is a great program(the one without the toolbar)
I'm glad everyone thinks its a good idea, rridgely i mentioned the poll idea here and as your a mod i assumed you must have read it and for one reason or another didn't do it, ill pm you next time .
I think as the poll is started and votes already registered it wouldn't be a good i dear to start a new poll but maybe you could make it a sticky so i does not get lost among the other posts. I have also posted a similar thread on the Msfn and newowin forums with links to the polls so starting a new poll would also discount votes made by memeber of those forums.
y do we need a poll on this topic... we all know the result...
Tis true. But the poll just puts it in perspective. You know, if MrG sees a poll that says 67 users voted "No Toolbar", while 2 voted "Yes Toolbar", that makes a bigger impression than a million different new threads saying "the Toolbar sux!" and "no it don't, you do!"

No, I was saying that I doubt that MrG will care if people whine against the toolbar or not, he's there for the advertisement. ($$$)
Oh, I see. Perhaps he will and perhaps he won't, but there are alternatives to including the toolbar installer right into the program. He could simply have CCleaner give a link to the Yahoo! Toolbar, for example. I would hope that the majority of CCleaner's purpose is still to help out the user...
If lots of people show that they don't want a toolbar integrated (by means of a poll), it could give MrG a better idea of the opinions of the consumers. No, it isn't very flattering to have it suggested that features be removed, but it needs to be made clear, regardless.
A poll would simply keep those features in one place.
Another worrying thing is that there has been no word from MrG about the toolbar, i.e. he understands are frustration but it is necessary to keep it Ccleaner free or he does not care what we think etc.
Edit: Maybe its because its taking some time to remove it
I have no idea how many people use Ccleaner, but the 14 million downloads give some indication to that. My guess is that several million Ccleaner users exist.
Now we have a poll, and out of these several million users, 66 have voted. 37 have voted to get rid of it.
