for devices that use a PC USB port for recharging, there is no reason for that port to need all 4 pins.
those sort of devices should only have the outer power+ and the power- as they don't need the inner data+ or data- pins.
that way there would be no possibility of malware transfer.

Using a USB port to charge an e-cig takes 10 times longer than a traditional wall electrical outlet. I don't think smokers are that patient.
Sooooo, if you plug your e-cigarette into your internet connected car, you better have a good firewall, right?
