I started getting emails saying license has expired, when I purchased there was no mention of expiry or I wouldn't have purchased.
Why start sending emails now when according to you the license expired 2014?

Oh well no reply.
I purchased software to support the developer, there was no expiry or other benefit at the time.
This was taken away and then asked to pay for again, this is the thanks for supporting.
This is the user forum, so we can't really help your issue. Try emailing support@ccleaner.com
However there hasn't been any unlimited licenses in years, and even then they were rare

We would have been sending messages to you periodically since 2016. When Piriform switched to subscriptions back in 2018 those old home use licence keys were grandfathered in, so they still work - provided that you haven't done anything to get yourself cancelled in the interim. But the service component ended for you back in 2014. If you don't need customer support or any of the newer features (Software Updater, Health Check, Driver Updater, etc), and you're still only using the one computer then you'd be fine to continue as-is.
