I don't want to mess up my computer due to my own stupidity and not knowing the program :( . Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help offered in understanding it. and in plain English please...

Hello Dolly and welcome to the forum

Could you please write in normal size font please, it looks as though you are shouting. :)

Here is a link to the beginners guide, if you have a read it will answer quite a few questions for you.

http://www.internetrotsyourbrain.com/ccleanerbeginnersguide/

Basically there are 2 parts, the cleaning of temp files etc, and the issues cleaning (this bit asks you if you want to make a backup before you do it.)

You press the analyse button and it will show you what files it is cleaning up and then you press run cleaner, and it cleans them up.

The issues cleaning is about cleaning up old entries from the registry which are no longer needed (this is the bit that offers you a choice of making a backup. If you do it will be saved it my documents and if you need to restore it just right click on it and choose merge.)

Any way Dolly give the above a read, and then give it a run.

Thank you and sorry about yelling... I generally make large font so I can read it also. Problems with eyes and such. I will check out that link and do some reading. Again thanks so much.

Regarding the needed large fonts in able to read them properly, you can hold the control key (Ctrl) and scroll with your mouse wheel to make the print smaller or larger as desired.
