Need money back

Id***s, useless freeloaders, stinky parasites, all you can do is take money, and you can’t do anything in life. Recuva Pro is paid software, useless software that isn’t worth a single penny. My comment might be deleted, but I’ll tell you guys, read this several times: don’t buy Recuva, this program can’t recover files. I’m speaking from personal experience; paid Recuva is useless. It’s better to save valuable files in reliable cloud storage and avoid overwriting. Shame on you, CCleaner team. Spread my comment, I will be sincerely grateful to you. And I will go spread it myself

Sorry that you couldn’t recover your files.

We don’t usually delete complaints, unless they are too offensive. Some of them can be quite humorous.

Here’s something to think about -

I personally have used Recuva sucessfully on numerous occasions, in various scenarios of accidedtal file deletions, crashed drives, reformatted drives, etc. There are lots of reasong why files might get ‘lost’.
I’ve recovered from HDD, USB Thumb drives, and SD cards.

Many, many other users have also used Recuva sucessfully to recover otherwise ‘lost’ files.

So do you think that perhaps if Recuva isn’t working for you then you might not be using it correctly?
Maybe you are trying to do the wrong type of recovery? (Oh, didn’t you know there were different ones?)
Or maybe it’s just that your files are not recoverable?

Some files you will never to be able to recover with recovery software, eg. deleted files on an internal SSD that has been TRIM’ed, files that have been ‘securely’ deleted, data from deleted files that has since been overwritten with newer data from new files.

If you had asked for help, giving details of what the drive is and what you had done that means you now need to try and recover files then maybe someone would have been able to help you and tell you how to use Recuva to do that.

As it is you chose to have an unfounded rant instead.
(I hope it made you feel better, because it’s not going to attract anyone to help you).

And yes having a good backup strategy has always been preferable to having to resort to attempting file recovery of ‘lost’ files.
No one has ever claimed any differently.

However people are foolish and often don’t make backups.
That’s why software recovery tools such as Recuva are available.

If you know what you are doing then they can often, but not always, recover ‘lost’ files.
If you don’t know what you are doing then you are probably going to be unsucessful with a recovery attempt. (Recuva’s ‘Wizard’ can help, but only in standard accidental deletion cases).
