I can see how open networks can be automatically intercepted by the car, but accidentally stored? BS. If that code was not found by upper level coders and project managers someone needs to be fired (not the guy who coded the offending code). Besides the amount of data collected would have caused concern by someone in charge due to the size of the data needing to be stored.

Yup, that's what I said too. Mean yes they are driving around with a powerful set of sniffers but
1) Protect your wifi citizentry
2) how you (google) not gonna dump the data you don't need from the get-go much less how did you manage to program sniffers into your camera trucks...and not know?!
