I'm in Perth, Western Australia, and using Windows XP, Home edition. I'm not sure if it's the Windows platform I'm using, but the latest version of CCleaner downloads as ccsetup230.30 which is an unrecognised file extension ( .30 ). It wasn't until I acted on a hunch and renamed it to ccsetup230.30.exe that I could open it.
I am located in the US, and am using Windows XP - SP3. I had the exact same problem when I clicked on the link at the top of the page. The link at the bottom downloaded a file with a valid .exe extension.
The problem is probably not in the user's computer, but in Piriform's link to the download.
Thanks! I got it from a different link, and I have already installed it. I also downloaded and installed speccy. Great product, but it needs temperatures and fan speeds. This might not be the correct forum for that, but perhaps you could pass it along.
