My IntExplorer temporary folder is NOT recognized

In IntExp 6 (under WinXP) menu Tools->InternetOptions->General->TemporaryInternetFiles

I set a new folder to keep all me temp files:

D:\temp\Temporary Internet Files\

The content should be deleted from CCleaner as well.

However CCleaner does NOT detect this folder although I checked this on the todo list.

At least the new folder is NOT listed when I perform an "Analyze" run.

Why?

Does CCleaner have a problem with folders outside the C: partition?

How can I find out the other folders behind the entries?

E.g. what folder uses CCleaner as "Last Download Location"?

Thomas

Do you mean you ticked the Temp Internet Files box in CC, or did you include your new temp file in the Options/Include list?

CC will not recognise any folder or file not on the c (or system) drive. I doubt if it will recognise any temp internet file on the c drive which is not named as good old Microsoft intended, but I haven't tested that.

If you want this renamed folder emptied, or any file/folder on a non-c drive, then you will have to drag the folder to the Options/Include list. Then you need to tick the Advanced/Custom Files box on the Cleaner page. You want the contents of the folder cleaned not the folder itself, so drag the folder name as you've specced it above.

Do you really mean CCleaner cannot detect Temporary Internet Folder because they are located on a partition other than C ??? What reason can be the reason that CC cannot accomplish such a simple task?

I cannot believe it.
