Hi guys, im sorry if this has been mentioned before.

Im no good with computers so im not techie at all.

Im running my cccleaner which i have been doing now for over a year ( not been on the same run for a year, i mean using it lol! ) but lately im analizing the files and its never ending...........i mean never ending, it just keeps going on and on and im not sure if its even doing anything. My computer keeps freezing. I have spywear and othr anti-virus things on the computer, but all i want to do is clean it. Is it something im doing wrong or is it out of date? Do i need to reinstall it?

What version are you using?

What OS are you using?

Did this happen after you installed a new software? Modified some settings?

Wait, do you use Norton?

If you do, try this: Uncheck "Empty Recycle Bin"

Im showing how dumb i am now :o Whats OS? and what the version of ccleaner? it says version v2.03. 532 if that helps. MS windows vista sp1

OS = Operating System.. Which you just mentioned to be Windows Vista SP1

Anyway, download the latest version ASAP

Download from CCleaner

^Go to that link.

After you update your version, see if your problem persists.

And I just realised, your computer is freezing too much?

Go here and follow the instructions. Be careful about using Registry Cleaners :)

Sorry for the delay, ive been on this all day trying to fix stuff!

I managed to download the new version of cccleaner but now when i go to run it i have 0% working and its going through the files but not increasing.

Sorry to be a pain!

Curious. Is your PC infected? Is any of your system file corrupted?

Hm, try "Run CCleaner" directly.

Close all the browsers and unnecessary applications.

Uncheck "Empty Recycle Bin" option and try again.

I dont think its infected as i have done all my spywear and anti virus etc and im clear.

Is browsers pages that i have on already? Again sorry to apear think, technology was never my strong point at school !!

No, i dont know, sorry.

But i have successfully cleaned my files with cccleaner!!!!!!!!!!!!! yippee!!! Im so glad, but at the same time hoping that it will have made a difference. I was proud of myself that today i managed to un-install something and then reinstall it back again to make it work!! I know little things please little minds, but i was proud of myself. Following instructions work i guess!

I want to say a big thank you to you ishan_rulz as without you i wouldnt have got this done. You do a great job here, keep it up xx
