Movies for the Family to enjoy together

Depending upon where one lives in this big wide world we all do different family things together over the Festive season so how about suggesting some movie titles either just released or released in 2016 that you think all the family would enjoy together. However if there is a very old/years ago title you think qualifies suggest it also.

I would like to start the ball rolling with a big recommendation for the Steven Spielberg Co Directed movie "The BFG"

A Fantasy/Adventure - 1h 57min. "Ten-year-old Sophie is in for the adventure of a lifetime when she meets the Big Friendly Giant (Mark Rylance). Naturally scared at first, the young girl soon realizes that the 24-foot behemoth is actually quite gentle and charming. As their friendship grows, Sophie's presence attracts the unwanted attention of Bloodbottler, Fleshlumpeater and other giants. After traveling to London, Sophie and the BFG must convince Queen Victoria to help them get rid of all the bad giants once and for all."

I would say Angry Birds or Secret Life of Pets. Both are good movies for adults and kids.

Pom Poko is a movie about raccoons. Like most Ghibli films, very family friendly :) Released in 1994

My Neighbor Totoro, Kikis' Delivery Service, and Spirited Away are excellent family Ghibli movies. Well, Spirited Away not so much for young kids. The animated morphings can get a bit freakish.

Try any of these ...

Pete's Dragon (2016):

From family films, I would propose watching these: "The War with Grandpa", "101 Dalmatians", "Wonder". The last one from this list is recommended for all those who haven't seen it yet.

I recommend 'Stop Forum Spam'. You have a bit part in it.
