As the title may indicate, I'm a newbie. I was right in the middle of something quite important when last week my CCleaner indicated it had updated to add.
I figured that the option would come back at a better time for me so I clicked it off.
It has never come back and when I check on site I could not find an option choice for UPDATES.

Good question !!!
The Automatic check for updates ia an option that you can turn off when you install CCleaner.
You can also turn that option off at CCleaner Options > Settings .
This will save you time when running CCleaner.
You can click on Check for Updates in the lower right-hand corner of the CCleaner window at anytime.
