It's been like this ever since I bought the GPU months ago. Since the recent update didn't fix the issue, I thought I'd report it. My 6GB GPU is reported by Speccy as having only 2GB. GPU-Z reports the correct amount.
I googled it and it seems Speccy has similar issues with a number of GPUs.
can confirm this, I have 6GB 980ti not 2GB
I'm having some of the same issues with v1.29.714:
1) Corsair Dominator Platinum 128GB kit being reported as Unknown (albeit with correct speed and timings).
2) MSI X99A XPOWER AC (Socket R) being reported as (Socket 0).
3) Two MSI GTX 980 Ti Sea Hawks in SLI mode reporting only 2GB of RAM each (each has 6GB RAM).
4) Two 4TB Seagate SATA 3 storage drives being reported simply as (SATA).
5) Samsung NVMe 950 Pro SSD 512GB being reported as SCSI Disk Device (Unknown).
I have been using Speccy almost since its inception (I currently own a professional license for it), and this is the first time in a long time that I've seen this kind of ineptitude in the coding… It must be the coding, right?? One of the previous posters shows a Z97-chipset motherboard from MSI: apparently, this chipset shares the same socket as the X99-chipset motherboards… I don't think so!
Does anybody think that techies from Piriform are paying attention? Ordinarily, when people document and post problems with a particular piece of software, there is usually a response from the software writers (and/or publishers).

I would've uploaded a screenshot that supports my notations, but I am doing this all with voice control (I'm a functioning quadriplegic) and I couldn't find the Attachment button. qsnake, if you see this, could you send me a message explaining how you uploaded that screenshot? I would sincerely appreciate it.

… Now that I'm more awake, I was noticing the other crazy things in other people's screenshots, Russian text, goofy numbers, etc. What is going on at piriform? I know second graders who can write code better than that… Maybe that's the problem: perhaps piriform is hiring first-graders to do their coding for them… Silly newbies! :-)

Qsnake, I see you have
Z97-chipset motherboard: is your system all air-cooled? I only ask because I noticed the high overall temperatures being reported by Speccy. If this is the case, I would highly recommend going to an all-in-one (at the very least) cooling solution. I am using three manufactured by Corsair: notice the difference in our overall temperatures. CPU: H110i GTX; both video cards are the new collaboration between MSI and Corsair: the GTX 980Ti Sea Hawk, which has its own radiator and fan.
I can confirm Speccy is still misreporting this card as having 2048 MB in v1.29.714.
The device ID, subvendor, and revision are all being read correctly.
Windows 10 reports 6144 MB in Display Adapter Properties.
