memory part number

I am being asked to provide details about my system. The next question is about RAM: what is the manufacturer and part number of the RAM. Speccy reports the size, but not the details.

Apart from tearing the computer apart, how do I find out?

I thought that was what Speccy is for.

Going off memory here because I'm on Android.

As far as I remember Speccy will give the type and size of RAM but it can't say who made it or what their part number is.

They are probably assuming that you have bought the RAM and fitted it yourself. So want to double check that it's compatible with your machine.

If it's what was in there when you bought the machine then just tell them that and the info that Speccy does give you.

See here for options on how to find out.
