Maybe a Minor Question?

When I open Crap Cleaner; I have the choice of my options....

I have no idea what boxes should or should not be checked? I wish to clean a lot of things BUT I wish to not lose my username and passwords on the several message boards that I participate on/in..!!

Where do I find, discover, or whatever, the meanings of the different squares to check or not check?

I do need help and feel that there should be some sort of a table or somethijng that explains these..

That is what I often do...clear my cookies! That part I know. I also belong to several message boards and websites that require a password and username..The little boxes off to the left of whatever on CC. Which of these do I want to UNCHECK to have these passwords and usernames kept when I clean everything else? I do not find this in the beginners guide, if it is there (I am sure it is) I do not understand which it is...HELP......And thanks

Message boards store that password as a cookie. In the options>cookies portion of CCleaner you can select which cookies you would like to keep.

So you are stating that under Internet Explorer if I uncheck the little box by "cookies" then I can run clean all and it will leave my passwords and usernames alone? Right now, I have checks in ALL the boxes to the left of terms? I do often hit options and then cookies and then run cleaner (just to clean cookies)! I do all this mechanicaly so to speak and my passwords remain in effect...

Sorry to be so dense....

Open CCleaner, click options on the left, then click cookies.

On the left hand side you should see a list of sites you have visited (cookies to delete) Click on a one you want to keep and it will highlight it blue.

Click on the arrow in between to send it over to the right. (the cookies to keep column)

That's it. :)
