Anyone know of any reason why I shouldn't update to version 8?
I keep getting a messge to do so, I have version 7 at the moment.
I updated mine a couple days ago. No reason not to since some sites need it.
The thing I've always hated about Flash is even after updated with the newest version some sites that use a previous version will all of a sudden start to bitch about "need to download Flash to use this site." Talk about retarded.
I just remembered that the version 8 installer for third party browsers Mozilla, Firefox, Opera, etc., does something weird by placing some file in the root directory. That's the reason why I created my own SFX installer once the files were extracted.
There's also a problem with the Firefox extension Adblock. To fix it, switch to Adblock+, or there's an unofficial fixed version of Adblock you can find on the Adblock Forum.
