Losing recent documents

HI,

I just got a new computer with Win 10. I notice that my recent files are disappearing from my programs. I saw a post from 2014 regarding this but the solution mentions the "Windows Tab" (http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=41031) which doesn't exist on the current version. I've looked all over to try to find out where I might turn off this clearing function.

or if another thing for example office as mta wrote look at --> applications-->applications-->your office-version --> untick

OH duh! Thanks. Just learning Win 10 from Win 7 and got overwhelemed.
