Long-time user frustrated with recent CCleaner performance and removal of registry cleaner

I’ve been using CCleaner for more than 15 years. It used to be one of my go-to tools on every system I own.
Fast, lightweight, and reliable.

But the past two years have been extremely disappointing.

The software has become noticeably slow, especially when it comes to scanning browsers. It first spends a long time scanning all browser-related folders, then forces me to close my browsers, and then continues scanning again. This happens on all three of my systems, so it’s absolutely not a hardware or Windows issue it’s CCleaner itself.

On top of that, the registry cleaner one of the features CCleaner originally became popular for has been removed.
A core function that many long-time users relied on just… gone, without offering a solid alternative.

All combined, CCleaner has become slower, more cumbersome, and less useful than it used to be. The “quick clean-up” experience that once made it great has completely disappeared.

After 15 years, I’m done with CCleaner.

Not removed, added to custom clean runs with custom clean is untargeted unlike reg integrity tool. More dangerous in my opinion.
