True, Wi-Fi can really be a convenience. Cables are a mess, inconvenience and unwanted clutter.

A mess isn't even the word! I used to be a Cable Tech! Not fun! Ceilings/walls/floors what a dirty job!

I am secured with WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key) and SPI (Stateful Inpection) Firewall (built into router's config)

I spent the morning running internet wire all over my house. I got connections on all four levels now! :)

Getting ready for that laptop-just have to convince the better half to let me get one in the newyear! ;)

Did you run & crimp all the cable yourself? Why did you do that? Didn't you get a wireless router? I'm gonna assume, no since you are running cable. Well, if that is the case then you'll have 100 mb/s all the way around.

admiral ross- yes i got a wireless one, but my bro in law gave me all the cable for free (he installs the stuff for a living), so i figured id run it all and then it would be there for the future. i also have both satellite and cable vision cords run to every room. :)
