I have a Google pixel 8a running Android 16. Cleaner worked fine for a long time but now it will not scan. It gets to 58,%and then just drops out.
Very frustrating as I have bought a subscription which I now can’t use
Mine runs the app just fine (Android 16 on a Pixel 8) but cleans virtually nothing. And in response to a 1* review I posted as a result on Play store I got the following…
“We understand your frustration. After recent Android 16 updates, system restrictions may affect cache cleaning speed and completeness, even on Pro. CCleaner is a device optimization tool, and functionality may vary by device and OS.”.
Are these people serious? So basically it’s “CCleaner for Some Android But Not All”??

Thanks for that….a little more reassuring! I have to say the response I got on play store was pretty much along the lines of “sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t”!
There may well be other problems but the biggest one in my case is that the process takes many minutes to run instead of 30 or 40 seconds, and frequently the same app will swipe across the screen three or four times but with absolutely no effect on the cache… so the app promises me a quick clean with two or three GB and ends up cleaning 30 mb or whatever.

They’ve been looking at it for over a month with no progress.
Unsubscribe and use something else.

this happens every time theres a major update to Droid. really frustrating that it takes you months to try and fix it. it’s pretty poor service for a paid for app.
