If the Kamo Service is enabled, OpenShot becomes unresponsive when asked to import a video file. If the Kamo service is disabled, OpenShot works as expected. I'm posting this hoping to help others if they are experiencing this conflict.
I do not know the root cause for the conflict, nor am I attempting to assign responsibility either to Piriform or to OpenShot. It would be great if this could be understood and resolved. I'd also like to see independent confirmation of my observation.
