Does anyone know exactly what CCleaner & Kamo offer in terms of network & OS/Operating System security for older PCs? I have a Win7 OS (Home Premium ver., 32bit) on my desktop and just had to uninstall my Avast Security products (in favor of Kamo & the paid CCleaner services. How well is my PC and network protected with just these (and Windows Firewall)?
CCleaner is not an Antivirus/Antimalware app - it's a junk file cleaner with a few extra tools.
Kamo disguises your 'fingerprint' on the web - it isn't an AV/AM as such either.
With Windows 7 you will need to install another AV/AM if you want to be protected. (Win 8, 10, & 11 have Widows Defender built in as standard).
Which one you choose is up to you, there are many out there to pick from.
Is there a particular reason why you "had to" uninstall Avast?
PS. You'll know that Win 7 is now end-of-life, have you considered upgrading to Windows 10?
You can still upgrade Win 7 to Win 10 for free, it’s pretty easy and I’ve done it for a few people recently since 7 became EOL: https://www.zdnet.com/article/heres-how-you-can-still-get-a-free-windows-10-upgrade/
