Is it possible to disable the Google Drive cleanup notification?

I keep getting notified to clean up Google Drive. I don’t save anything on it, so how can I disable this notification? I think it’s ridiculous to get a notification about something you never use yet I cannot find a way to disable it from CCleaner. I tried looking at the 3rd party access to my Google account on that account, but CCleaner wasn’t listed there, so I obviously cannot remove it from my Google account itself. I also checked CCleaner’s options as well as searching this forum but nothing was found, either.

It may be difficult to follow as the new forum seems to have messed it up a bit.

Well according to the thread, one user stated that if I keep the cookie from “www dot ccleaner dot com” I should only see the notification about cleaning Google Drive only once. (BTW, I had to use the word “dot” because for some reason, I can’t post my reply as it isn’t allowed to have links in the message.) However, I’m seeing it several times a week and when I check the Cookies section under Options in Ccleaner I have “asterisk dot ccleaner dot com” already in the “Keep” list located on the right. So why am I still seeing the Google Drive notification? I do not have www dot cleaner dot com in the “Keep” list, as it isn’t listed in the left side, so I cannot add it to the right. But that shouldn’t matter as there is an asterisk before the Ccleander domain meaning that every cookie that matches the "ccleanerdotcom domain will be kept, whether it’s “www”, “ww2”, or whatever. I’m using the latest version of CCleaner Pro if that helps.

I also would like to say that the design and layout of this forum leave much to be desired as I cannot post links in my message nor can they contain certain symbols such as asterisks (I noticed that symbol didn’t show when I was checking my post). Whatever happened to the old forum? It was much easier to read and follow instead of having to scroll through hundreds - if not thousands - of messages trying to find the link hazelnut referred to in her reply to my original post.

@GuitarPlayer
Regarding @hazelnut’s forum post link, if you click on the forum topic name, “Google cleaner”, it is a link which will take you directly to the forum topic posting that @hazelnut is referencing. If instead you click on the “CCleaner Windows Help Requests”, immediately to the right of “Google cleaner” topic name, it is a separate second link which will take you to the CCleaner for Windows, CCleaner Windows Help Requests subforum, which contains all the topics in this subforum including @hazelnut’s referenced topic.

I hope this helps for future navigation of such links.

The forum has just had a migation to a different hosting platform software.
Because of that software migration some links may no longer be working properly.

In fact qute a few links made/posted from the old platform may no longer work properly.

@cbaumer0628 - Thank you for explaining this to me. I’m too used to the “phbb-style” most forums use, but now I realize that I clicked on the wrong link.

To others: - Now that just leaves the problem with the Google Drive notification. I received a notification about a week ago to clean Google Drive. I actually do have some data saved on there for safe-keeping, but nothing crucial. Turns out CCleaner only detected a couple of duplicate files which I got rid of. I have not seen the Google Drve notification pop up since then though. Maybe the issue has been resolved? I’ll post a reply to this thread if I do. But just to recap - I already have the cookie “asterisk dot ccleaner dot com” saved in the “Cookies” section under CCleaner Options tab. Do I need “www dot cleaner dot com” in there or should the fact that I already have an asterisk before “cleaner dot com” be suffice, as I understand that symbol represents all sites under the ccleaner domain, right?

Well it was fine for a while where it didn’t appear, but now it just appeared again. Just so everyone knows, I followed the thread that was mentioned earlier in this thread and that thread stated that if I kept cookies coming from the Ccleaner website I should only see the notification about cleaning Google Drive only once. Well, I’ve seen the notification a lot more than once despite having every single cooke coming from the CCleaner site! This is getting both frustrating and ridiculous! Why didn’t the developers put in a function or some setting to turn off notifications for Google Drive? If they did, I don’t see it anywhere in the program, unless I am as blind as diabetic with proliferative diabetic retinopathy. :roll_eyes:

Now what?!? Is this notification something that’s hard-coded in the application and cannot be removed at all?!?
