I'm having difficulty with Windows XP System Restore, could CCleaner be causing the problem?
When I do a System Restore all appears to go well, system shut down and restart etc until the last moment when the message 'Cannot perform system restore' appears. It suggests I should choose another date, but if I do so the same thing happens. It's as though something needed - like the appropriate registry file for that date - is not found where it should be.
On the CCleaner Windows menu I have unchecked Windows log files but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Is there another setting that I should uncheck?
