Invalid path not detected

Hej

I have a invalid path in my %PATH% but CCleaner version 5.63.7540 is not detecting this.

I have:

C:\Development\Ruby24-x64\bin

in my %PATH% and the path Ruby24-x64 does not exist. CCleaner does not detect this invalid path

I'm using Custom Clean and have "Environment Path" enabled

All I can think of is if it may be a hidden folder, so it exists but you can't see it in file explorer?

Have you tried deleting it manually to see what happens?

This tells you how to get to the environment variable editor in Win10, from where you can (try to) delete it.

it's not a hidden folder or anything

and yes it can be seen in explorer

Sorry, if you can see it in File explored then how does it not exist?

sorry got confused

The path does not exist. I think it should have detected this

I'm not sure why CCleaner isn't removing it.

"Environment Path" is supposed to remove 'Orphaned' path variables, (not empty paths), so maybe some app is still refering to that path meaning that it is not 'orphaned'?

Can you not just delete it from the environment variable editor?

(Which will of course mean that whatever app is refering to it will not be able to find it, or will recreate it when next run).

i think about it and i ask me why should ccleaner find this folder if its not there and after this ccleaner report it to you?

as far as i know ccleaner find only in system-folder like "temp" for your userprofil and all kind of folders that you want to clean with "custom files and folders" and the include-option. and of course all defined app to clean what you see in the 2 searchboxes "windows" and "applications"

if this folder not more on the place ccleaner run to the next cleaning rule or not? it means if there is nothing to clean than is there nothing and no result about this cleaning-point shows you <- perhaps i go wrong with my thinking :-)

what have you set in ccleaner with your folder to clean?
