Hi new to this, and only what you might call an experienced amateur with computers
I was wondering why when I run the cleaner it always cleans some internet explorer history when I only ever use Mozilla Firefox.
Have I got something running in the background that I don't know about??
Windows uses IE in "background", I guess, eg. with Windows Update and WLM (Windows Live Messenger or with other Windows Live Essentials programs). Probably with MS Office, also.

But you cannot install Trident which is the Guts of I.E. and unfortunately a vital part of Life Support with Windows anything.
Firefox has an I.E. addon which is a shortcut to Trident and the "benefits" of Trident and Active'X
