Installer automatically copy INI's

Would it be possible to add a feature to the ccleaner installer would copie to the install folder ccleaner.ini and/or winapp2.ini?

If it dectects one or both files in the same dir as the installer

? I don't understand the question, if you already have winapp2 and ccleaner.ini in the folder they are untouched by an install so I'm not sure what you are asking for.

He means that he wants to create a .ini file, then copy that to the same dir with the CC installer.

The CC installer would pick up the .ini he created, & copy it to the CC dir so that it makes it easier to install CC with the .ini you want.

Kinda cool, really. Don't know if they will add it, but it would be cool to be able to have the .ini you wanted on a flash drive alongside CC setup, & have it auto install your custom .ini to the same program files dir as CCleaner...

But how would Piriform code the installer to know where to look on his Flash for his desired INI.

The user can copy his INI etc to the folder in which the installer places CCleaner.

How? It would be in the same folder as CC Setup.exe.

Which would make it easy to look for a .ini file in the same dir as CCSetup, I think...

WinRAR installer does this for rarreg.key, place it in the same dir as the installer and it will automatically copy it to the program files folder

Rote Comment: The developers read all threads, though rarely comment. Many user suggestions are implemented, so they often will look into viable suggested features; this may be something added if they see fit.

[opinion]While I think this is a rather interesting and novel concept, it seems a little niche for what could be a truckload of coding (considerations for both work and program bloat). Perhaps another way to do this would be via a batch file which lives in the installer's folder, one which first runs the installer then copies the files. Our Resident batch file genius @Alan_B is very good at such things. [/opinion]
