Hello Piriform forum staff,
Although new to using the forums (I had an issue with CCleaner,) I noticed a remarkable little feature that no user seems to ever actually use. It's called, "Topic Tags."
I can only imagine how often you see the same errors popping up for users. Forum browsers like myself can utilize these forums to search for their answer. However, it is often difficult when using the search feature to weed out which already-answered topic can help me with my problems.
That's where the "Topic Tags" come into play. Users have the ability to put in key words, like, "Professional Edition," or, "Update." In my case, I was wondering how to update my Professional Edition of CCleaner without having to pay another $25. As it turns out, the Pro Edition just gives me Priority Support, so downloading the "Free" edition is the same as the Pro (just without the Priority Support. Duh.) I digress.
My point is, when I used the "Search" feature for topics already answered, the board came up with a bajillion threads. Oddly enough, the person who helped me with this issue (DennisD,) mentioned that he'd never seen my question asked before.
I have a suggestion for you. Not every user is like me, and will put Topic Tags concerning their question. I suggest that the moderator (whoever is helping assist that customer,) add in relevant Topic Tags to the post. That way, future question-searchers won't have to deal with getting a bajillion threads which may or may not be relevant to their question.
