I need help verifying a back-up of the registry files was completed

I am very new to using "CCleaner" and these forums. Also may I add, I have a very limited knowledge of computers.

I posted this question under the CCleaner forum as a reply, hoping I was asking a question, but am unsure of the proper form and process.

The information below is the body on the reply.

I installed CCleaner (recommended by a troubleshooter) and proceeded to follow all the prompts on the program, not knowing at all what I was doing.

Before installing CCleaner I was having several problems with my computer. I have a Microsoft Technician helping me resolve my problems, and he has asked for several details.

1.Do you have backups of ALL the changes CCleaner's Registry Cleaner component ?

I do not have the answer for him, because I do not know if a back-up was performed, or if I selected a back-up option.

How do I verify and answer the technicians question? I sincerely appreciate any help anyone can provide. I might have really screwed up here.

By default Ccleaner will ask you if you want to make a backup of the registry items when you tell it to clean them.

The default place they are saved is in your documents folder.
